How to extract, adjust and derive color matching
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image, and the tool will extract the representative color locally in the browser.
- Choose from a 5, 8 or 10 color palette and use the eyedropper to add designated area colors if necessary.
- Copy a single color value or CSS variable, you can also download a CSS file or export a color card PNG.
Understand sampling results and color deviations
- Large-area backgrounds usually affect the main color sorting, and small-area brand colors may need to be manually replenished with a straw.
- Semi-transparent pixels, gradients, highlights and shadows will affect sampling, and the extraction results are not necessarily equal to the inherent color of the object.
- Printing, product color cards and brand standards should use calibration equipment and formal color specifications, not just screenshots.

Frequently Asked Questions about Image Color Extraction
Is the extracted color the color with the highest accurate proportion in the image?
Not necessarily. The tool shrinks the image and buckets and sorts the colors. The result is a representative primary color, suitable for design reference rather than precision color measurement.
Why does the extraction result not have a small area Logo color?
Small-area colors account for a low proportion of the overall sampling and may not enter the first few main colors. You can use the eyedropper to select the logo area and add a color card.
Can web page HEX color values be used directly for printing?
It is not recommended to use it directly. Screen RGB/HEX behaves differently than printed CMYK, paper and ink and should be professionally color converted and proofed.
