- Download the new file, check size, transparent background, color and clarity, and verify again with metadata viewing tools.
Format, image quality and evidence file considerations
- When a transparent background needs to be retained, export to PNG or WebP first, and a white background will be used when converted to JPG.
- JPG and WebP re-encoding may change file size and subtle image quality, important images should be compared with the original image.
- Do not only keep the cleaned version of evidence collection, photography originals and copyrighted materials, but also save the original files.

Will the picture be uploaded to the server?
The current privacy clearing function reads images in the browser and re-encodes them through Canvas without calling the image upload interface; trusted devices and browsers should still be used to process sensitive files.
Will clearing metadata affect picture quality?
Possibly. JPG and WebP recompress, PNG generally maintains lossless pixels but file sizes may vary, and color profiles and format conversions may also affect display.
Can it be guaranteed that there is no hidden information after processing?
This cannot be guaranteed. The tool is designed to clean common EXIF, GPS, XMP and text metadata and is not responsible for detecting steganographic content, sensitive information visible in images, or all vendor-private fields.
